A new digital video broadcasting trial will see 350 O2 customers in Dublin given the chance to watch television live on their mobile phones
For a trial period, 13 channels, including RTÉ One and RTÉ Two, are being digitally broadcast onto an advanced mobile handset.
The trial runs until August, at which point customers will give O2 their opinions on the service.
The trial uses digital video broadcasting handheld technology, similar to digital terrestrial television, which means the service remains unaffected by the number of people using it.
