The PSNI is investigating a robbery at a house near Ballynahinch in Co Down.

Two brothers, aged 88 and 82, were robbed by three armed men at their home on Crawfordstown Road in Drumaness at around 9pm last night.

The men threatened one of the brothers with a gun, saying they would 'kneecap' him and struck one of them on the head with a bat.

The gang ransacked the house before making off with a sum of money.

The attack is the third robbery targeting elderly people in the area this week.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
