Cannabis worth €1.2m seized in Co Dublin

Gardaí in Co Dublin have seized cannabis estimated to be worth €1.2 million.

In excess of 160kg of the drug was seized during a planned search of a warehouse in the Swords area.

A 38-year-old Dublin man is being questioned at Blanchardstown Garda Station in connection with the seizure.

Earlier today, two men were questioned by gardaí following separate drugs seizures in Co Monaghan.

A quantity of cannabis was found during the search of vehicle in the Ballybay area.

Earlier €10,000 worth of ecstasy tablets were seized.

The men have been released from custody and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
