The exhumation of the five unidentified victims of the Stardust fire has been completed at St Fintan's cemetery in Sutton, north Dublin.
DNA samples from the remains will be sent to Birmingham, England, to try and positively identify them.
48 young people lost their lives in the St Valentine's Night disco fire in 1981.
It is hoped that the process which is now under way will establish their identities and bring closure for the families concerned.
