Gardaí are investigating an attempted robbery at a bank in south Dublin.
A jeep was used to ram the front doors of the Bank of Ireland in Rathfarnham Shopping Centre shortly after 5.00pm this evening.
Gardaí say two men entered the bank wearing motorcycle helmets and threatened staff to hand over money.
One man was armed with what appeared to be a handgun.
No shots were fired, nobody was injured and no money was taken.
The men left along with a third man on two motorcycles went up Butterfield Avenue before turning left into Washington Lane.
