The political wing of the Basque separatist group, ETA, has said that the peace process with Spain was 'not broken', despite a bomb attack at Madrid Airport last Saturday.
The leadership of the Batasuna party was responding to the decision of the Spanish government to call off peace talks.
The government said peace talks with ETA were finished because of the attack which ended a nine-month ETA ceasefire.
Two Ecuadoreans are still missing in the rubble of the multi-storey car park where the explosion took place. Authorities say it will take several days to clear an estimated 40,000 tons of concrete, under which about 400 cars are thought to be buried.
ETA has been waging an armed campaign for more than 30 years and is blamed for more than 800 deaths during that time.
