A man has been shot in Dublin city centre tonight.
It is understood he was hit a number of times.
The man was shot near the IFSC at around 9pm.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital. The extent of his injuries is not yet known but it is understood he is in a serious condition.
It is believed the victim is from the north inner city and has a number of criminal connections.
