Police in Northern Ireland have said a man has been arrested in connection with an assault on a 17-year-old Catholic youth in Ballymena this morning, which they believe was sectarian.
The PSNI says he was attacked by a group of between four and six people at Granville Drive.
The teenager was taken to hospital with injuries to his head and hand. He has since been released after treatment.
In another incident, two men have been arrested following an attack in Lisburn city centre last night.
The PSNI say two men believed to be Lithuanians were assaulted at Market Square around 9.30pm by a group of up to three people. They received facial injuries.
Up to thirty people are thought to have witnessed the incident and police have appealed for information.
