Israel has given Palestinian militants a two days deadline to release a soldier kidnapped during a pre-dawn raid at an Israeli Army post near the Gaza Strip.
The attack left two Israeli soldiers and two Palestinian militants dead.
It was the biggest opertation mounted by militant Palestinian groups since Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip last summer.
The Israeli Army are recommending a severe military response to the attack.
