A rally in the centre of Minsk in protest at the re-election of Belarus's authoritarian President, Alexander Lukashenko, is now in its fourth day.
The crowd of several hundred says the weekend election was rigged.
The EU and the US have condemned the poll as flawed and the EU has said it may impose sanctions. Russia, however, said the poll was fair.
The country's main opposition leader, Alexander Milinkevich, has called a major rally for Saturday.
