Gardaí have released without charge a man being questioned about the death of a woman in south Dublin.
The 49-year-old was questioned today about the death of 38- year-old Siobhán Kearney at her home in Goatstown.
Gardaí say a file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
It is believed the victim was strangled. Her body was discovered in her bedroom in a house at Knocknashee, Goatstown on Tuesday morning last by a relative who had called to the house.
Mrs Kearney was a married mother of a three-year-old son. She was also a sister of Sunday Independent journalist Brigid McLaughlin.
She was pronounced dead at the scene; a preliminary forensic examination was carried out before her body was transferred to the Dublin city morgue.
A full post mortem examination was carried out yesterday by the State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy.
