The government in Iraq has imposed a daytime curfew on the capital, Baghdad, and three surrounding provinces today in a bid to curb sectarian clashes.
The curfew, on the Muslim day of prayer, follows two days of reprisal attacks on Sunni mosques sparked by a bomb attack on a Shia shrine.
Sectarian violence over the last two days has left at least 140 people dead, most of them believed to be Sunnis.
