A third child from the same family has died of bird flu in eastern Turkey, days after her brother and sister died from the disease.
The 11-year-old girl, who lives on a poultry farm, is the third confirmed human fatality from the H5N1 strain of the virus outside China and southeast Asia.
Turkey has begun a cull of poultry to try to stop the spread of bird flu.
Birds are being killed in rural areas in the southeast of the country but experts say there is no sign that the disease has begun spreading through contact between humans.
However, Dr Bernardus Ganter of the World Health Organisation has said the authorities had to be prepared for every eventuality.
