Ireland scoops top world karaoke prizes

Ireland has scooped the first and second prizes in the Karaoke World Championships in Finland.

Rachel Brown from Blarney, Co Cork, beat 64 competitors from 22 countries to win first prize.

The 23-year-old schoolteacher sung to an audience of up to 10,000 people including 30 Irish supporters over five days.

29-year-old Danny Cummins from Fairview in Dublin won second prize.
