One of five men found guilty of ill-treating two animals during a dog fight has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Troy Jordan of Allenwood South, Kildare received the 18-month sentence at Naas District Court this morning
Richard Sommerville of Navan Road, Cabra in Dublin received an 18-month suspended sentence and was ordered to make a donation of €3,000 to the ISPCA.
David Deegan of Tallaght in Dublin was also given an 18-month suspended sentence and ordered to make a donation of €3,000.
The other two defendants, Karl Breen of Clondalkin, Dublin and Thomas Codd of Tallaght, each received suspended sentences of nine months and were ordered to make donations of €5,000 and €500.
