One of the suspected bombers involved in last week's failed attacks on London is being questioned by police in Britain.
Peter Clarke, head of the Metropolitan Police Anti-Terrorism Unit, confirmed the arrest of 24-year-old of Yasin Hassan Omar.
He has been brought to London's Paddington Green Police Station for questioning over the attempted attack near Warren Street Tube station.
He is reported to have been detained after being shot with a Taser stun gun.
Three other men were arrested in dawn raids at two Birmingham homes. More than 100 houses were evacuated in the area because police feared there were explosives on the premises.
Elsewhere, two men were arrested under the Terrorism Act last night at Grantham Railway Station in Lincolnshire.
Police officers arrested the men, who had been travelling on the Newcastle to London King's Cross service, at around 11pm.
The train was stopped following information given by two off-duty Metropolitan Police officers, who were travelling on the same service.
Man arrested in Luton
Elsewhere, British police arrested a man at Luton Airport, north of London, under the Terrorism Act.
It is understood the man had been due to fly on Ryanair to Nimes in France when he was stopped by police.
The aircraft was initially delayed but after being checked by police was allowed to continue with its journey.
It is reported that the man was released from custody.
Body of Brazilian man to return home
Meanwhile, the body of the Brazilian man who was shot dead by police who mistook him for a suicide bomber on a tube in London last Friday will be flown back to his home country tonight.
About 30 supporters of the family of Jean Charles de Menezes today gathered outside Scotland Yard to protest over his shooting.
The family solicitor, Garth Pierce, said many questions remain to be answered and she criticised much of the public discussion by senior politicians and officials in advance of an investigation into the killing.
