Police believe two early morning attacks in north Belfast may be linked to the continuing loyalist feud between the Ulster Volunteer Force and the Loyalist Volunteer Force.
A taxi depot on Ballysillan Road was set on fire and two shops in the same block were also damaged in the blaze.
A blast bomb was thrown at a house in the Ballygomartin area of the city. It exploded in the driveway, damaging a car and a fence beside the house.
The owner says he believes the wrong house was targeted and that he is not a member of any paramilitary group.
Police also kept watch last night at the Garnerville estate, a loyalist area in east Belfast, where a number of people are believed to have left their homes following warnings.
A crowd gathered at the entrance but there was no trouble.
