Man injured in Dublin stabbing incident

A 33-year-old Chinese national received stab wounds to his upper body in an altercation at Poddle Close in Dublin last night during which his car was stolen.

The victim was making a food delivery just after midnight when he spotted someone interfering with his car.

During an altercation he was stabbed once in the chest and once in the back.

He was brought to St James's Hospital where his injuries are described as not life-threatening.

His car was later recovered nearby and was preserved for technical examination. There have been no arrests.
