As gardaí continue their search for the body of a baby boy in Dalkey in south Dublin, RTÉ News has learned there is to be an inquest into the killing of a baby girl 32 years ago.
The Dublin County Coroner has set a date for the inquest, more than three decades after the newborn girl was found stabbed to death in Dun Laoghaire.
A woman has told gardaí she was the victim of child sexual abuse and gave birth to the baby girl when she was 11 years old.
She has also described to detectives how she witnessed the baby girl being stabbed to death, before the infant's body was left in a laneway in Dún Laoghaire.
The woman has also described giving birth to another child when she was 15 years old, and gardaí are continuing a search for that child's body at a house garden in Dalkey in south Dublin.
