Valuables recovered at Cahill home

Gardaí have recovered a bag of valuables buried in the back garden of the former home of Dublin criminal Martin Cahill.

The Criminal Assets Bureau seized the house in Rathmines and had been cleaning it up for sale when the find was made this afternoon.

The valuables include silverware and a number of chalices, believed to have been stolen from a Dublin church.

The CAB has now decided to dig up the front and back gardens to search for some of the proceeds of Cahill's multi-million euro robberies.
