The owner of a nightclub in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, where 175 people were killed and at least 714 were injured in a fire on Thursday has been arrested.
Omar Chaban has been detained by a judge but has not yet been formally charged.
Reports say the fire may have been caused by a type of flare that is used in Latin America for New Year celebrations.
Officials said many victims died from smoke inhalation and the tragedy was made worse because emergency exits were locked to stop people sneaking in.
The government has declared three days of mourning.
