It is reported that the militant group holding a Northern Irish UN worker and her two colleagues hostage in Afghanistan has extended a deadline for their threatened execution.
A spokesman said the new deadline for their demands to be met would expire at 9.30am on Friday.
The group had threatened to kill the three hostages, including Annetta Flanigan from Richhill in Co Armagh, unless authorities released all Taliban prisoners in US custody in Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay by today.
That deadline was extended after the kidnappers said they were in negotiations with authorities.
