Six killed in Baghdad car blast

A car bomb has exploded outside the Education Ministry in central Baghdad, killing six people and injuring eight others.

The blast in the Iraqi capital's Adhamiya district badly damaged the ministry building and destroyed more than 30 cars.

Smoke poured from the building as firemen fought a blaze set off by the blast.

The bomb exploded in a side street, close to a wall of the ministry building. Water from burst mains flooded streets.
