Four of the six Pitcairn Island men convicted of sex abuse crimes have been sentenced to jail terms.
The six men, half the male population of the British colony, were found guilty on Monday of charges including rape and indecent assault on girls as young as 12.
Four of the men, including the mayor of the island, have been sentenced to jail terms of between two and six years. Two of the men were sentenced to community service.
The sentences will not begin until next year.
