Six killed in clashes in Samarra

At least six civilians are reported killed and 11 US troops wounded in clashes in Samarra.

The US military had claimed that the north Iraqi town had pacified following an offensive earlier this month.    

Two car bombs killed a child and also wounded a civilian translator in the centre of the town, according to the US military. 

Hospital officials said six civilians had been killed and 17 wounded in several clashes.
