US airstrike kills 11 in Fallujah

At least 11 people were killed and up to 17 wounded when US warplanes attacked the Iraqi city of Fallujah.

The US military says the attack, which it described as a precision strike, targeted a hideout used by the Jordanian militant, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

However, local residents said the victims were all members of a wedding party.

The residents said the groom was killed and his bride was injured, along with nine women and six children.
