Turkish truck drivers kidnapped in Iraq

Iraqi militants have kidnapped two Turkish truck drivers and threatened to kill them unless their firm leaves the country.

The threat was made by a group led by the suspected al-Qaeda ally, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The group said the men's Turkish firm, which supplies goods to the US in Iraq, have 48 hours to leave the country.

Meanwhile, the fate of seven truck drivers, including three Kenyans, kidnapped in Iraq, remains unclear.

Reports from Kenya said the hostages had been released. However, the truckers' company and a top Iraqi negotiator said the men remained captive.
