A Spanish judge today charged a Moroccan man for links to the 11 September attacks in the US.
The judge alleged that the man formed part of a cell that organised the attacks on New York and Washington from Spain.
High Court Judge Baltasar Garzon had previously charged Amer Azizi with belonging to al Qaeda.
Judge Garzon expanded the charges against Azizi to include involvement in the planning of the suicide hijackings that killed some 3,000 people on 11 September 2001.
