The new leader of the Palestinian militant group, Hamas, has denounced US President George W Bush as an 'enemy of Muslims'.
Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi was speaking to around 5,000 supporters in Gaza City. He was named leader after Israel assassinated the Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin last Monday.
Mr Rantissi said the US president and the Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon had 'declared war against Allah' but that 'Allah declares war against America, Bush and Sharon'.
