Judge Patrick Moran has postponed delivering his judgment in the Ian Bailey libel action until 19 January.
He had been due to deliver his judgment on 9 January.
No reason was given for the postponement.
Ian Bailey is suing eight Irish and British newspapers over their coverage of the investigation into the murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier.
