A man has been killed in a shooting incident at a pub in west Dublin.
It happened at the Brookwood Inn in Corduff.
At around 10.30pm last night, two men wearing balaclavas entered the pub, which is in the Blanchardstown area of west Dublin.
Gardaí say there were about 160 people in the pub at the time.
Armed with what is believed to have been a handgun, they singled out a man and fired a number of shots, two of which hit him in the chest.
He has been named locally as Bernard Sugg, who was 23 years old and from the Corduff area.
A post mortem will take place tomorrow morning.
He was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead an hour later.
A second man, aged 24, received a flesh wound to the foot. He was treated in hospital but has since discharged himself.
