An estimated 20,000 people have taken part in an anti-war demonstration in Dublin.
The protestors gathered outside government buildings where they have been listening to speeches from politicians and campaigners.
Earlier, protestors set fire to pictures of Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brian Cowen, and burnt an American flag outside the Dail.
Gardaí arrested two men after they tried to disrupt the speeches being made.
