2 men held after Raheny armed robbery

Two men are being held at Raheny garda station in Dublin in connection with an armed raid this afternoon on a bookies shop in the area in which an amount of money was stolen.

Two men entered the premises around half past four and threatened staff with a handgun, before escaping with an amount of money.

They later abandoned their getaway car and made off on foot into St. Anne's Park where gardai gave chase.

Gardai have failed to recover the stolen money and are still searching for the fire arm used in the robbery.
