At Croke Park today the Leinster hurling final was a repeat of last year's All Ireland decider, with champions Offaly against Kilkenny. All the pre-match forecasts suggested a tight game but Kilkenny had other ideas. The final score was Kilkenny 5-14, Offaly 1-16.
In football, Tyrone faced Down in the Ulster Semi Final at Casement Park, with the winners to face Armagh in the final. Down won through. Final score: Down 2-14, Tyrone 0-15.
In the Leinster Championships Minor Hurling Final the score was Kilkenny 0-13, Wexford 0-13. In the Ulster Championships Minor Football Semi-Final Down won 1-12 to Tyrone 1-6. In camogie, the Bord na Gaelige All Ireland Champion Senior Quarter Final results were: Down 3-14, Dublin 3-9; and Tipperary 1-18, Clare 1-6.
The draw for the hurling quarter final championships took place at Croke Park this evening, it was broadcast live on RTE News. Antrim is to play Offaly and Clare will face Galway.
