    A 40-year-old man who had claimed to have suffered serious back pain after his bicycle was hit by a car has withdrawn his case.

    A married couple have been sentenced to five-and-a-half years, and four years and 9 months, at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for the female genital mutilation of their then 21-month-old daughter.
