Keelin Shanley presents a new morning news programme for RTÉ.
RTÉ launched a new morning news programme on 28 January 2013, the closest programming to breakfast television produced by the station to date. 'Morning Edition' is presented by Keelin Shanley and is a live mix of news, sport, business, topical discussion and entertainment. The programme is broadcast simultaneously on RTÉ One and digital channel RTÉ News Now from 9.00am to 11.00am on weekday mornings.
This TV clip is from the first ‘Morning Edition’. Keelin Shanley introduces the programme, which will feature an exclusive interview with Bill Gates on the eradication of polio. Catherine O’Halloran from the ‘Irish Daily Star’ and Mary Minihan from the ‘Irish Times’ will take a look at the morning newspapers. Clodagh Walsh will give the morning news.
