In 1979 Joe Duffy appeared on the programme 'Sunday No More' presented by Andy O'Mahony. This episode of the RTÉ Religious programme took a look at the current state of religious education in our schools. The discussion centres on the publication by Pope John Paul II of a new document on religious education. Other guests on the panel included Sr. Antonia Curran, Rev. Bertram Walsh, and Dr. Henry McCauley.
Duffy later went on to become President of the Union of Students in Ireland. Joe Duffy now presents 'Liveline' on RTÉ Radio 1, a phone-in chat show broadcast each weekday afternoon.
