In the final leg of his visit, President Kennedy makes a light-hearted and affectionate address to the people of Limerick.
In a mainly light-hearted address President Kennedy thanks Lord Mayor Frances Condell for what he described as the best speech he has heard since coming to Europe.
The President also greets his Fitzgerald relatives who have come to see him. In his closing remarks President Kennedy expresses his desire to return to Ireland.
"So I carry with me as I go the warmest of sentiments of appreciation to all of you. This is a great country with a great people...This is not the land of my birth but it is the land to which I hold the greatest affection. And I certainly will come back in the Spring time."
