Audience research survey on Irish Dancing and Music on TV.
This audience research file presents the results of a survey on Irish Dancing and Music on TV. The survey was carried out some time between 1965 and 1971.
400 members of the experimental panel were asked to indicate on a four-point scale ranging from 'very much' to 'not at all' how interested they were in Irish dancing on TV and how much they enjoyed Irish music in TV programmes. The file notes that most of the replies were no more than expressions of general interest, but several programmes were named, including 'Club Céilí'and 'Aililiú'.
