Six young men from Dublin were arrested for the murder of an Englishman, Kieron Farmer, from Telford, Shropshire, last St. Patrick’s night. Kieron Farmer was in Dublin with his friend, another Englisman, Paul McNulty, celebrating McNulty's stag. Damien Marsh, from Ballyfermot, was charged with his murder. The other five were charged with assaulting the two men at Aston Quay in Dublin city centre.
