The Bishop of Down and Connor, Dr Cahal Daly, has described the conflict in Northern Ireland as predominantly a series of dirty murders of civilians rather than a war against armed forces. He was speaking at the funeral of John Judge, the father of three who was shot dead by the loyalist Ulster Freedom Fighters (UFF) on Tuesday night.

Report shows funeral cortege leaving John Judge’s home and proceeding to St. Paul’s Church on the Falls Road, Belfast.
