The Confederation Of Irish Industry (CII) has called for the introduction of price controls on a number of supermarket items. Earlier, the Food and Drinks Federation confirmed that they had written to the Minister for Industry and Commerce giving details of a list of items which have been or are about to be reduced because of the strength of the Irish pound against sterling.
