Today is the twentieth anniversary of the Derry Civil Rights March that sparked off events that led to the present continuing violence in the North. The march was broken up in a Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) baton charge, setting off a twenty year cycle of violence that has brought three thousand deaths and thirty thousand injuries.
