The Radio Éireann Outside Broadcasting Unit visited Peig Sayers in 1947 and made recordings of her telling stories and speaking in Irish, these recordings were then preserved in the Radio Éireann archives and used in various broadcasts.
The recordings were made by Séan Mac Réamoinn and Seamus Ennis, Outside Broadcasting Officers.
