Hang gliding enthusiasts travel to Achill Island in Mayo to take part in the Easter fly-in.
Achill Island in County Mayo is the venue for the annual Easter fly-in organised by the Irish Hang Gliding Association.
A scenic hang gliding setting, Achill Island offers five sites suitable for pilots of intermediate to advanced skill level. These are: Minaun Heights, Minaun - Lower Cliffs, Keel West, Knockmore and Atlantic Drive.
There is drive-up access to the 466 metres high Minaun Heights, pilots can land on 4 kilometres of sandy beach at Trawmore Strand near Keel.
The Easter fly-in took place on 9 April 1977.
