Engineers put forward proposals to deal with the traffic flow through Carlow town centre.

Improving the traffic flow in Carlow town is the subject of a recent report by Carlow Urban Council. Clamping down on illegal parking and stricter control on the number of heavy goods vehicles passing through the town are among the recommendations.

Other measures such as installation of traffic lights, creation of one-way streets and some street widening measures are being considered to solve the problems of traffic congestion in Carlow town centre.
