Dublin Institute of Technology band plumb the depths to create fun and music from unusual material.
The Wavin Band led by musical director Gordon Douglas put on a musical performance using plumbing equipment for instruments.
Their lofty aim is to highlight the relationship between physics and music.
The band demonstrates to a young audience that music can be made using anything from a ballcock to a sewer pipe. Gordon Douglas says the show is a great way to stimulate young people's interest in the relationship between music and physics.
All of the materials for making the musical instruments were provided by Wavin, a manufacturer of plastic piping.
