Locations across the city will form part of the Winter Lights display from Dublin City Council.

Buildings and structures in Dublin will light up for the month of December in a project that includes performances by community groups and aims to spread a message of hope and resilience.

This project from Dublin City Council sees structures all over the capital lit up for December.

A work displayed on the Samuel Beckett Bridge was performed by members of the Richmond Barracks Over 55s Movement Group in conjunction with artist Steve MacDevitt and choreographer Aoife McAtamney. Group members gathered on a Dublin quayside to see the results of their work. Paula Lynch is delighted with the finished work and to see herself up in lights.

Steve MacDevitt was keen that in a time of restrictions imposed by COVID-19, the work would be fun, energetic, resilient and positive. The Richmond Barracks Over 55s Movement Group performed a four and a half minute dance which was used to create the display on the bridge. Dancers Robert Cullen and Carmel Heffernan are delighted with the result.
