Children dress up ahead of Halloween to raise money for UNICEF.

The Irish national committee of UNICEF announce a donation drive. The UNICEF Penny Appeal is launched by the Taoiseach Sean Lemass at Jurys Hotel in Dublin. Children arrive dressed in their Halloween costumes. All funds raised in the Penny Appeal will go towards alleviating the problem of world hunger.
