The Defence Forces stand down as dispute ends and petrol tanker drivers return to work.

Oil tanker workers met yesterday for mediation talks with union officials and voted in favour of settlement terms. The drivers went back to work this morning.

Also returning to normal operations are the 2nd Garrison Supply and Transport Company at McKee Barracks, Dublin. For the past two weeks they have been responsible for delivering supplies to Dublin and Leinster petrol stations.
